Kobe Airport Terminal aims to be a universal airport.
Information disclosure regarding accessible facilities
Kobe Airport serves as a new gateway to the city of Kobe, welcoming a wide variety of passengers.
At the passenger terminal buildings, facilities and equipment are being revamped so that everyone—regardless of age, gender, culture, or physical condition—can easily access and use them safely and comfortably.
Clear Traffic Flow
The New Transit Port Liner “Kobe Airport Station” is directly connected to the Departure Lobby on the 2nd floor of Terminal 1 by a connecting bridge.
Passenger traffic flow from the station ticket gates to the check-in counters and boarding gates takes place on the same floor and is connected by the shortest possible route, making the layout easy for everyone to understand.
Internal traffic routes within the terminal buildings are also kept as short as possible to ensure that all users can move around easily without getting lost.
One example is the use of a black-based floor design with the main traffic routes clearly marked in zebra-style color patterns.
